The Lord Jesus, physician of our souls and bodies, who forgave the sins of the paralytic and restored him to bodily health, has willed that his Church continue, in the power of the Holy Spirit his works of healing and salvation.
Reconciliation, along with Anointing of the Sick, is one of the two Sacraments of the Sick. Those who receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation with a good heart obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offence committed against Him and are, at the same time, reconciled with God’s Church. This sacrament is celebrated each week one hour before the 4:00 Vigil Mass on Saturday or by appointment.
Also, during the season of Lent, each church in the Archdiocese of Hartford offers Reconciliation on Monday evenings from 6-7pm.
